VAN DUZER VINEYARDS
Unlike the more developed wine regions to the north, Van Duzer Vineyards remains much like it was a quarter century ago when Carl and Marilynn Thoma first discovered it. Visiting Van Duzer is like stepping back in time to when the Willamette Valley was "yet to be fully discovered." Perched on a knoll, the vineyard offers panoramic valley views and a unique micro-climate, the Van Duzer Corridor. The Coast Range mountains lie to the west, and the Pacific Ocean's influence arrives each afternoon. Van Duzer Vineyards makes elegant, wind-impacted expressions of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Syrah wines driven by a finely tuned balance of rich fruit flavors and fresh acidity. Head Winemaker Eric Misiewicz blends his history of winemaking in diverse regions–in New York's Finger Lakes, in Spain and Australia, and at classic producers in the Napa Valley–with a passion for the challenging yet thrilling conditions at Van Duzer Estate vineyard.
Van Duzer Vineyards cannot ship to the following 21 states: AK, AL, AR, CT, DE, HI, IN, KS, LA, ME, MS, ND, NE, NJ, RI, SD, UT, VT, WI, WV, WY.

Wine Details
This bottle has the following characteristics:
Dundee Hills
Hand harvested in the early morning, the fruit was direct pressed, and the juice was allowed to oxidize prior to fermentation to soften potential harsh tannins. After several days of settling, the wine was racked to barrel for fermentation and aged for 11 months in 20% new French oak. After aging, it was racked to stainless steel and aged on its lees for an additional eight months. This extended lees contact built depth, and a layered richness.
