Unlike the more developed wine regions to the north, Van Duzer Vineyards remains much like it was a quarter century ago when Carl and Marilynn Thoma first discovered it. Visiting Van Duzer is like stepping back in time to when the Willamette Valley was "yet to be fully discovered." Perched on a knoll, the vineyard offers panoramic valley views and a unique micro-climate, the Van Duzer Corridor. The Coast Range mountains lie to the west, and the Pacific Ocean's influence arrives each afternoon. Van Duzer Vineyards makes elegant, wind-impacted expressions of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Syrah wines driven by a finely tuned balance of rich fruit flavors and fresh acidity.
