2022 Black Bobcat Eola Amity Hills Bottle Image

Black Bobcat Eola Amity Hills 2022

$63.75 Reg: $75.00 / 750 ml
The aroma and taste are mysterious like the black bobcat with anise, cola, vanilla, butterscotch and Bing cherry layered in velvety plush tannins with a long finish balanced natural acidity. The structure should lend to aging the wine.

Highlights
  • Varietal percentages: 100% Pinot Noir
  • Vineyard(s): One Acre Vineyard
  • Vineyard Notes: The One Acre Vineyard where the Black Bobcat grapes were sourced is a small parcel planted by former students. We farm it in exchange for the grapes to make this limited quantity wine. The site is around 450 feet on a 180 degree turn with a western aspect. The three Pinot Noir clones, 667, 114 and Wadenswil were picked and fermented together. The shallow rocky volcanic soil combined with the western aspect produces wine with darker character and more structure hence the midnight blue on the label. The "Black Bobcat" name came from several sightings of a rare black bobcat at the vineyard.
  • Farming: Dry farmed, no cultivation
