The Story
In the wild beauty of the Oregon coast, a young girl with a love for the outdoors and plants began her journey. She fought forest fires to fund her horticulture degrees at Oregon State, raced mountain bikes at the pro level, and discovered vineyards at Croft Vineyard. The seed for her wine brand was planted early. In 2000, Jessica Cortell became the OSU Viticulture Research Assistant, and by 2002, she was pursuing a Ph.D. in Pinot Noir wine chemsitry. In 2010, Jessica founded Vitis Terra Vineyard Services and now owns Carlile's Crest and Cortell Rose Vineyards in the Eola-Amity Hills. Managed with organic practices, both vineyards reflect her commitment to sustainability. Jessica's wines honor the land, showcase its terroir, and support the local community.
