Alta Orsa's focus is on sustainability. They farm their land in a holistic manner, using organic and regenerative farming practices. In treating their land in a way that helps regenerate soil health, by employing techniques such as composting, planting cover crops, and integrating livestock into the vineyard, among others, they can grow very high quality grapes. In addition to making wine from the grapes they farm on their property they've also been fortunate to find other vineyards throughout the North Coast with the same viticulture ethos, and they've developed relationships that allow them to source some amazing fruit from other locations.
The Hafner Vineyard Chardonnay shines with lifted aromas of lemon curd, white peach, and honeysuckle. The palate is vibrant and textured, balancing crisp acidity with subtle oak spice and a mineral backbone, finishing long, pure, and elegantly, showcasing the vineyard’s cool-climate precision.
