As one of the first Margaret River wineries to become officially accredited with the SWA certification (2011), their commitment to sustainability predates their membership. To them, the health of their vines, soil and intimate knowledge of the region and land surrounding them, truly represents what sustainable longevity is. Creating expressive, regional wines of uncompromising quality, Xanadu takes an intuitive approach to winemaking, holding a deep respect for the vineyards — where true quality begins. Their philosophy is to guide the wines through to the bottle, rather than "beating them into submission".

Tasting Notes
The beguiling bouquet displays passionfruit and lemon thyme aromas with hints of frangipani/musk and kaffir lime, all framed by the subtle influence of judicious oak handling. The lively palate is medium bodied with a wonderful purity of fruit, offering citrus flavours, guava, lemon thyme and spice. The wine is beautifully structured with a backbone of zesty acidity layered with lovely textural elements. The influence of wild fermentation in barrel has added complexity and weight to this otherwise quintessentially crisp, fruit driven blend.

Tasting Notes
Aromas of ripe red berry fruits, blackcurrants and plums are complimented by subtle spicy oak characters with hints of bay leaf and sage. On the palate, medium to full-bodied Cabernet with plenty of liveliness, popping with bright raspberry and cassis characters. The pristine fruit and fine tannins combine to produce a very complete wine, distinctly Cabernet with an elegant structure and a wonderful persistence of fruit.
