Estate Syrah 2022
$50.00 / 750 ml
The cool start to the season shaped a Syrah of aromatic brightness. The nose opens with floral tones, violets layered over blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry fruit notes. Subtle nuances of menthol, smoked meat, and chocolate introduce a savory complexity while a hint of caramelized sugar adds depth and intrigue. The tannins, though delicate, frame the lighter body with poise, offering balance and refinement.

Winemaker Notes
In 2022, a historically wet and cool spring brought one of the latest blooms the Willamette Valley has seen in four decades. A warm September and October allowed the fruit to achieve full ripeness despite the delayed start. Sourced from our most southern-facing block, the Syrah matured slowly and steadily before harvest on October 20 .
Winemaking Highlights
Our 2022 Estate Syrah was fermented in small 1-ton fermenters to maximize precision and aromatic expression. Approximately 75% whole clusters were included, contributing heightened structure, lifted aromatics, and a complex tannin profile. After fermentation, the wine was pressed and transferred to French oak barrels. The wine was aged for fourteen months before bottling.
