  • Vineyard Notes: One California's most iconic Chardonnay vineyards - "Ritchie Vineyard"- the Russian River Valley Grand Cru site allows for a slow growing season and op- timal ripening. Today, Ritchie Vineyard consists of nearly 70 acres of Chardonnay. The vines are widely spaced at 968 vines per acre and are low yielding with an average of 2.5 tons per acre. The site is exposed to the cooling effects of coastal fog that burns off in the late morning, and benefits from the well-drained sandy Goldridge soil speckled with gravel. The ideal climatic conditions for Chardonnay include 2796.15 growing degree days, and annual rainfall of 29.9 inches with 5.82 inches during the growing season.

Founded in 1997, Revana Family Vineyards is a portfolio of wine growing estates with a single purpose- to produce site specific wines from exceptional vineyards. The Revana Estate Vineyard is a sustainably farmed 8.2-acre parcel established in 1997. Located in the heart of the St. Helena AVA, the vineyard contains three distinct soil types. The rarest is a vein of Perkin's Gravelly Loam, found in less than 0.6% of all vineyards in Napa. This deep, well-drained alluvial soil provides optimum conditions for our artfully crafted Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot clones.
