This inaugural Albariño proudly hails from the Russian River Valley, where this varietal is not widely found. This wine happily opens with lifted aromas of lemon blossom and lime zest, and the layers continue to unfold with white peach and a delicate hint of chamomile. On the palate, its silky and weighty texture is balanced by bright freshness and a mouthwatering salinity, reminiscent of oyster shells.   • Vineyard Notes : The Old Vine Lane Albariño is located in the Middle Reach neighborhood of the Russian River Valley. Being one of the few sites to grow this unique varietal in this cooler AVA, we were immediately excited work with this fruit and felt the foggy mornings would help us to capture the more delicate side of this wine. The cool, night harvested fruit is whole cluster pressed gently and fermented natively in 100% stainless steel barrels. Batonnage was employed on 50% of the production to enhance the texture and silky nature of the wine. We chose to only partially take the wine through malolactic fermentation to retain the naturally bright acidity and accentuate the minerality
