The Story

López Family Vineyards is a family-run estate in Geyserville, California, rooted in a vineyard first planted in 1978 by Ramiro López. For decades, the López family has tended this land by hand, guided by a commitment to stewardship, authenticity, and respect for the natural rhythms of the Russian River-adjacent hillsides. Today, the second generation continues the work their father began, crafting limited-production, estate-grown wines that reflect the character of their vineyard and the heritage of the family who farms it. Each bottle is an honest expression of place—shaped by history, nurtured with intention, and made to be shared.

The Values

López Family Vineyards is guided by a deep respect for heritage, land stewardship, and authenticity. The family believes exceptional wine begins in the vineyard, which is why they continue to farm their estate by hand—just as their father did when he planted it in 1978. Their values center on honoring the land, crafting honest expressions of their site, and maintaining a thoughtful, small-lot approach that prioritizes quality over scale. Every decision is shaped by a commitment to family legacy and the desire to create wines with integrity and intention.
From the winery
Thank you for taking the time to discover our wines. Our family has been farming this vineyard since 1978, long before we ever imagined bottling our own wine. Today, we’re proud to share the place we grew up on—its history, its seasons, and the vines our father planted by hand. We hope each bottle gives you a sense of our home in Geyserville and the care that goes into every part of what we do.
