Passaggio Wines Wine Tasting Flight to the New World by Way of the Old World
"Passaggio" is Italian for "passageway." This mixed flight will take your palate on a journey to the Old World as you enjoy an orange wine, a single varietal red and a red blend, all carefully crafted by winemaker Cindy Cosco.
Wine Flight
Pinot Grigio 2019
The 2019 Pinot Grigio was 100% stainless steel fermented with 4 days of skin contact. Winemaker Cindy Cosco recommends serving at cellar temperture to extract this wine's truest expression. This orange wine showcases a beautiful Sonoma sunset color, orange peel, cranberry and apricot aromas coupled with slight mineral notes, soft tannins, and a lingering finish.
Sangiovese 2018
A grape that is difficult to source in California but produces a lovely food wine. You will fine blueberry, dark cherry, plum, floral, earthy notes, spice and good acidity.
Rosso 2017
This bold blend of three varieties from three vineyards, the Hux, Albini, and Heringer Estates, reveals a beautiful wine representing Northern, Central and Southern Italy. Fragrant and floral with dark berry fruit, plum, slight spice and white pepper, leaves a lingering finish on the palate.

About the Winery
Passaggio Wines is woman-owned and -operated by Cindy Cosco out of Treasure Island in San Francisco. Her focus and attention to Old World-style wines is a reflection of her style and vision. "As a winemaker, I never stop evolving. ‘Passaggio,' Italian for ‘passageway,' reflects my winemaking journey — new adventures with each vintage, exploring traditional and off-the-beaten-path varieties. I am very fortunate to be able to source hard-to-find grape varietals along with traditional ones." Cindy's vision is about a great deal more than the production of outstanding wine. "Wine is a passion of mine," Cindy says. "I grew up watching my grandfather make wine. I remember these incredible dinners around the table with family, food and wine."
