ALTA ORSA Wine Tasting Ready Set Pinot
Pinot Noir is a grape that extracts so much of the land into its fruit. Sometime these distinctive characteristics are subtle, and sometimes they are not. Experience this all-Pinot Noir flight, discover the impact of terroir on the grape, and taste some of the most delicious wines from Alta Orsa.
Wine Flight
ORSA Rosé of Pinot Noir 2022
Provençal style Rosé leads with aromatic notes of grapefruit, fresh strawberry, and crisp pink lady apple. The delicate minerality is accompanied by flavors of grapefruit, rhubarb, and rose water. Carries all the natural acidity one would expect from a direct-to-press Rosé and a hint of lingering salinity.
ORSA Pinot Noir 2022
Vibrant aromas of hibiscus, bergamot, and red clay on the nose. A well-balanced and restrained palate with elegant notes of cranberry and Earl Grey. The finish is lengthy with profound texture.
Alta Orsa Slusser Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021
Aromatically this wine has beautiful spice components, with notes of clove and savory herbs behind the classic cranberry. On the palate, it shows lovely acidity highlighted by deep fruit and earth, with superb concentration. The finish is long and satisfying, with a hint of Earl Grey tea that adds elegance to the wine.

About the Winery
Alta Orsa is the story of land, the vision and labor of their small team — led by their winemaker Martin Bernal-Hafner. The core chapter of their story is centered on a holistic approach to farming. As stewards of this 160-acre mountain property, they tend to 12-acres of hillside vineyards with regenerative organic practices — treating their soils as a living ecosystem and nature as our partner. Patience, observation, science, and experimentation guide their approach. Since the planting of their high-density vineyard in the late 1980s, they have practiced no-till farming, minimal organic sprays, cover cropping, no tractors between the rows, and no herbicides under the vine. They sincerely believe this philosophy preserves the unique sense of place and leads to wines that are classic, elegant, and worth laying down.
