Wine is perishable and sensitive to extreme temperatures (hot or cold), which can damage or affect the wine’s quality. We ensure your wines are delivered with as little exposure to heat and cold as possible. To keep your wine at the highest quality, the wines may be held for shipment until temperatures are more moderate and it is safe to ship the wine. If you would like to explore additional shipping options, contact Sommsation’s Concierge team at any time. For more information on our shipping policies, visit our Shipping page.
Wines are shipped directly from the producers which means shipping policies vary. Shipping laws vary from state to state, and each winery may have different restrictions on the states they can ship to. Please review the “no ship” states listed for each winery shipment to ensure your guests’ addresses can receive their order. You can also search for wines that deliver to the state you are shipping to by using the Ship To filter in the Navigation Bar. Select the state you would like to ship to, and Sommsation will list the wines available for purchase.
You will receive an email notification when your wines are shipped with a direct link to track your package. Make sure to check your spam folder or contact Sommsation if you don’t receive an email notification. Please note that all wine shipments require a signature from an adult 21 years of age or older at the time of delivery.
All deliveries containing alcoholic beverages require an adult 21 years of age or older to sign and present a valid ID upon delivery. This can be you or another adult at the delivery location.
Your options may vary depending on the shipping carrier. If it is available, and as needed, customers can have their package directed to a nearby holding facility to be picked up in person. Customers may incur the cost of the return shipping and a restocking fee if a package is left at a holding facility for more than 5 days.
