Seavey Vineyard Wine Tasting 40 Years in the Making
This flight of white and two reds showcases Seavey's Estate Vineyard which has been family owned and farmed for over 40 years.
Wine Flight
Chardonnay 2022
Crisp and lively, the 2022 Seavey Chardonnay features aromas of lemon zest, fresh apricot, and jasmine flowers. These are joined on the pallet by flavors of lemon meringue, almond paste, mandarin peel, and pastry crust, and of course finishing with the precision of our signature minerality. This wine offers a vibrant acidity beautifully balanced by hints of seashell and a light oak structure.
Merlot 2020
Leading with aromatics of red fruit and cardamom, this wine features soft, refined tannins. On the palate, red plum is accented with notes of berry tart, underscored by rich cocoa with an impression of violets, rounded out by an elegant finish.
Caravina Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
This wine opens with an enticing nose of red fruit, Luxardo cherry, and a touch of pine needle. True to its rustic hillside origins, it offers an intriguing layered palate of cherry cola, herbaceous flavors, and spiced leather with cinnamon. Graceful and medium-bodied, this wine is perfect to drink now and also has at least fifteen years of cellaring potential.

About the Winery
Production from the estate's 40 planted acres is approximately 3,000 cases annually. This small-scale production allows them to maintain consistently high standards in both the vineyard and the winery. They've never bought a grape and they farm their land with their in-house crew. Stewarded by Jim Duane, their winemaker, and also Philippe Melka, their consulting winemaker. Seavey's goal is to create masterful, soulful wines that exude a sense of place and age gracefully.
