The Story
A Handshake, a Few Tons, and 0% Interest Credit Cards. Collin Cranor and Craig Ploof first crossed paths in 2010 when they were both making wine on the Central Coast. One of the projects Craig was working on early in his career was La Rochelle, which was focused on single vineyard Pinot Noir from California's best coastal sites. Eventually the brand sold, prompting Ploof and Cranor to start searching for a small amount of Pinot Noir to start a collaboration program that didn't compete with either of their Cabernet-making day jobs. A couple of 0% introductory rate credit cards from their good friends at Chase, some wild nights trucking fruit from all over the state, and a pandemic later they are still at it making world class Pinot Noir in small lots from some of the most distinct and sought after sites in California.
