Exposition West Sauvignon Blanc 2023
$34.00 / 750 ml
Hailing from the Wildwood Vineyard in the Sonoma Valley AVA, this coolclimate Sauvignon Blanc is heavily influenced by both morning fog and the Pacific Ocean. Those cooling influences are offset, however, by the westerly exposure of the vineyard, ensuring an extra hour or two of afternoon California sunshine each day. Pale color in appearance, this Sauvignon Blanc has a nuanced nose of grapefruit, white peach and honeysuckle accompanied by white tea, gardenia, and a bit of ocean spray. Crisp and refreshing on the palate with a bit more weight than you'd expect from the color alone, you'll find notes of grilled pineapple, lime, white peaches, and orange flowers.

Winemaker Notes
Turks Head Wines crafts its Exposition West Sauvignon Blanc with a carefully balanced regimen of stainless steel and used oak aging, a winemaking approach that builds both freshness and texture. Fermentation begins across multiple vessels, with 13% of the wine aged in stainless steel to preserve crisp acidity, aromatic lift, and primary fruit character. The remaining 87% is aged in used oak barrels, chosen specifically for their subtle influence — adding depth and a rounded mouthfeel without masking varietal purity. The result is a Sauvignon Blanc that combines vibrant fruit expression with nuanced layers, yielding a wine of balance, complexity, and elegance.
