 About this wine 
 Tasting Notes 
 The 2021 Mountain Zinfandel opens with warm, jammy aromas of raspberry, black cherry, dried herb and sandalwood. A juicy, brambly palate delivers sumptuous flavors of cherry, boysenberry, blueberry and dark chocolate with a touch of earthy complexity. Lively acidity and peppery spice linger on a bright, energetic finish.

- Full-bodied Red Wine Glass—The ample size of this glass allows the bouquet to fully develop. It emphasizes the fruit by down playing the bitter qualities of the tannin and allows wines to achieve balance.

 For more than 20 years, Opolo Mountain Zinfandel has been a standard bearer of Zinfandel from Paso Robles. This heritage variety—which has been grown in our region since the 1800s—excels across our estate vineyards in the westside coastal mountains. Here, we have developed our trademark Mountain Zinfandel style: rich, bold, fruit-forward and always lively through the finish.

 The lots were fermented separately in stainless steel tanks and small open-top fermenters, all with attentive phenolic management to ensure optimal mouthfeel.
