NYSA VINEYARD
Complexity, concentration, and balance—these are the goals of the wines produced from Nysa Vineyard. The subtle nuance of pinot noir fruit grown in a cool climate at high elevation in soil of volcanic origin allows for a complexity of flavors on the palate that extend into a lingering finish. The concentration of these layered flavors is achieved by keeping crop yields under two tons per acre in this densely planted, dry-farmed site. The balance of ripe fruit with sufficient acid allows extended cellaring. A southeastern exposure that avoids a premature rise in sugar before physiologic maturity of flavors are obtained, permits this wine to serve as an accompaniment with robust foods. In short, the complexity, concentration, and balance found in great pinot noir are site dependent. Nysa Vineyard offers such a site.
