The Values

J. Cage Cellars creates handcrafted wines in small lots using a traditional and non-interventionist philosophy. Roger and Conch believe winemaking begins in the vineyard. Their winegrower partners are some of the most respected in Sonoma County. They are driven by the belief that great vineyards are like great voices and seek out the sites that deserve to sing solo. Their practice of balance and restraint in the cellar allows these unique vineyards to be heard. The lasting relationships J. Cage has with these winegrowers allows the team to listen to each vineyard as it matures over time. The J. Cage winemaking team is a collaboration between Roger, his winemaker son, Conch, and renown consulting winemaker Adam Lee of Siduri. Together they have developed the celebrated J. Cage style that is sought by wine enthusiasts across the country.
