The Story

Back in 2018, Marc Gagnon left his job as Director of Winemaking at Bryant Family Vineyards. At a dinner in Napa, Michael Kennedy asked him what was next? The following week during a phone call they both decided to do something together. The consensus was simple: Exploring the terroir and history of Napa Valley through the bottle by making wine only from historic vineyards of the valley.

The Values

The goal is simply to explore the vineyards that stood out as prime to the earliest settlers of Napa Valley, to express them uniquely and purely, and to provide an experience in the valley unlike any other.
From the winery
Why Historic Vineyards? The wine-growing pioneers of what is now modern-day Napa Valley got it right when it came to choosing where to plant their grapes as some of the best terroir in the valley is found in the oldest vineyards. Marc began calling his friends in the valley & digging into the history. Marc and Michael consider their wines to be “off-pendulum” choosing to create wines in a style that best represents these sites - not the current style of the moment.
