The Story

Proud families like the Barbaglia family never gave up on their village. They have been growing grapes for three generations starting with grandad Mario who planted these vineyards in the 1940s. His son Sergio continued the tradition and began bottling wines finally in the early 2000s. Sergio's daughter Silvia is responsible for selling those wines and has really helped catapult this family farm into the hearts of those who seek out Alto Piemonte wines. Silvia admits to always enjoying talking about the wines even as a youngster, while her dad is shy and reserved, happy to spend day after day working in the vineyards.

The Values

In the company,Sergio Barbaglia, a rigorous oenologist, and Silvia, his daughter, work in collaboration adding an expressive spark to the precision oenology, and the terroir above all. In respect of traditions and with many manual works, more than 4 hectares of vineyards are managed. In addition to the Boca DOC, wines obtained from the vinification of pure Uva Rara, Croatina, Vespolina and Nebbiolo are produced; even from the only white vine authorized in the area a DOC wine is obtained. For several years, two Spumanti Metodo Classico Brut and Dosaggio Zero have been produced. The range is completed by a Spumante Rosé from red grapes and wines from dried grapes.
From the winery
Our small “family-owned” company was born in the hearth of Santo Stefano Belbo and gravitates within a house that breathes affinity with the small maison of some Récoltants in Champagne.
