Celebrate the Moms in Your Life with a Dynamic Wine Tasting

Sommsation had the pleasure of hosting a wine tasting with Dr. Nicole Martin, a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and cast member of The Real Housewives of Miami. The intimate gathering included one of her closest friends, her mother, and mother-in-law. Our Lead Sommelier, Elyse Lovenworth, shared her wine knowledge and shared in the celebration of these super moms in honor of Mother’s Day.
This tasting was surely one to remember. The wine experience gave Dr. Martin and her guests the opportunity to not only celebrate one another, but to celebrate themselves. Hosted indoors, away from the balmy Miami heat, the women were able to relax in one another’s company, unplugging from mom-life and work-life for an enjoyable and well-earned afternoon.
The tasting spotlighted Sommsation’s curated ‘Cab is King’ collection featuring wines from Bell Wine Cellars. This horizontal style tasting highlighted three 2018 Cabernets from a variety of nested AVAs in the Napa Valley.
Bell Wine Cellars is a certified sustainable - Napa Green Winery that is near and dear to Dr. Nicole Martin’s heart. On one of her trips to wine country in California, she discovered this small hidden gem winery tucked away in Napa Valley. She really enjoyed and appreciated their wines and was excited to see they were already a Sommsation partner.

In addition to the wines, Elyse worked with a local cheesemonger to pair the wines with a specially curated cheese board. The experience was further customized with tasting cards and a map for guests to fully immerse themselves in the tasting.
There’s an old saying, “Everything tastes better in Napa.” In this case - Dr. Martin said the wine tasted better than she remembered and speaks to how the entire experience elevated their enjoyment of the wine.
After the 90 minute tasting ended, the women kept the fun and relaxing Mother’s Day Celebration going by ordering pizza and sipping on the wines.
