The Story

In November 2011, global humanitarian, recently retired NBA star and future Basketball Hall of Fame inductee Yao Ming announced the establishment of his new Napa Valley winery: Yao Family Wines. Since inception, Yao Family Wines releases have consistently impressed critics, earning scores of 90+ points with each vintage.

The Values

Yao Ming started the company when teammate Dikembe Mutombo took him out for regular steak dinners, which were accompanied by Napa Valley Cabernet. Yao felt that "a shared bottle of wine becomes a forever memory", and founded his company around the importance of special celebrations with family and friends. Our wines are made for special occasions and celebrations with friends and family. Our wines are among the highest quality wines produced from the finest vineyards in Napa Valley.
