The Story

Pomum Cellars is a husband-and-wife venture run by Javier and Shylah Alfonso. Javier, originally from Spain's Ribera del Duero, is passionate about showcasing the unique wines of Washington State. He came to Washington in 1995 to study aeronautical engineering at the University of Washington, where he met Shylah. Together, they fell in love with the region and its wines. Their journey led to the first commercial vintage of Pomum in 2004.
